JAUNT

Discover Zhangzhou,your way!


"JAUNT" echoes the essence of Zhangzhou, evoking a brief yet delightful journey through this city. To promote the traditional culture of Minnan to the world, I created JAUNTfor the Call for Submissions of Zhangzhou Tourism Bureau. By blending traditional and contemporary visual elements,I reinterpret the visual identity of the city's eight iconic attractions so that this brand bridges global visitors with Zhangzhou's authentic local spirit.

The dynamic arrangement of the logo adopts the traditional Chinese character stroke writing order, integrating the stroke forms with the traditional architecture and geographical features of Zhangzhou.









These basic extension graphics break down the complex architectural structures of Zhangzhou, such as windows, roofs and walls, into relatively simple geometric forms.










As part of the redesign of the city attraction’s visual identity, eight illustrations were developed to establish a coherent graphic language. Each illustration distills a key feature of the city into a simplified, contemporary form, creating a unified system that strengthens recognition and enhances the overall brand experience.





The distinctive architectural features of eight famous scenic spots were extracted and simplified into interesting dynamic illustrations. This is hoped to help international tourists who are not familiar with the culture of southern Fujian to understand some of the underlying meanings.









A stamp-map game was introduced to activate the new identity in context. By turning major sites into collectible checkpoints, the system encourages movement across the city and builds a more engaging, repeatable visitor experience.

Social media sets expectations through shared journeys and local moments, while the App turns those expectations into action by helping users find companions and plan meet-ups. Together, they make city exploration feel more social, coordinated, and naturally shared.
